"Our guide Tom was awesome...he was able to give a good concise history as we went, adding fascinating little bits of trivia. We had a fairly large age range in the group but he kept it interesting and relevant for everyone and was always happy to answer all questions." - 'Melsewhere, Dubai' Trip Advisor 4/7/2016

I have worked as a tour guide in London and around the UK since 2014, receiving over 200 5* TripAdvisor reviews. CapitalSportsTours was born in 2016 to offer something a bit different from the regular sightseeing tours of London, and works in partnership with Tallyho Tours, to help provide a wide variety of chances to see London with passionate local guides.

CapitalSportsTours are designed for everyone. Because of my academic background I am passionate to ensure that people with varying impairments that might feel excluded by large groups, fast paced or inaccessible tours can feel welcome with us. All routes are designed and researched meticulously with this is mind, and there is never an issue with making a few tweaks as needed.

If you would be interested in joining a sports tour, drop us an email in the contact form below, or visit the website to find out more.

Sports Tour Synopsis:

Not only is London the only city in the world to have hosted 3 summer Olympic Games; it was the birthplace of many of the worlds most popular modern sports, such as football, rugby and cricket. Our tours running from anywhere between half a day to 3 days take you back through 2000 years worth of sporting history, discussing the historical origins of sports as diverse as Real Tennis, River Jousting, American football and Olympic sports like Beach Volleyball. Whether you’re in London for the big game; or simply wanting an alternative look around some of London’s most famous sites; a sporting history tour is the perfect accoutrement to your trip.

As well as visiting current and historical sporting sites, extras can be built into the tour such as the chance to try your hand at a new sport, visit private sporting memorabilia collections, and potentially sit down for breakfast or a coffee with a sporting superstar!

Whilst London is the most popular touring destination, tours can also be run to include other sporting destination around the country, such as Rugby, Leicester, Oxford and Stoke Mandeville.
